Comments: This is by far the biggest farmhouse I have seen.  There was a trend in Italy to render beautiful old stone farmhouses (in keeping with the villas of Rome) and sadly this one has been rendered. But in most cases the render is poor and can be removed and the stonework renovated and re-pointed which will return it to its former glory.  The house needs an overhaul now but it has been a grand house in the past with some rooms having vaulted ceilings.

There are passageways and a grand room on one level and a wonderful feeling of space everywhere.  The house is so big that there would be no need to convert any of the rooms at ground floor level into living.  They could simply be used as garage space, storage, laundry rooms etc.  One of the outbuildings could easily be converted into a pool house.  The house and its location make it very desirable.  It will be a costly project but you could renovate just one level at a time in order to make it habitable quickly and renovate the remainder at leisure.  This is an imposing house as it stands but it could be an outstanding development.  It really is worth a viewing if you are looking for something big.
